Is this thing still on?

*tap tap*

*Ahem*

For those who have been wondering, yes...I'm still alive and well. Thanks for your concern! I can't believe that it's been since November that I've posted last. MUCH has happened since Turkey Day. The quick recap:
  • I'm now single again
  • In my second stint as a captain, my hoops team at the CAC went 1-9
  • I've started working out on a regular schedule, including running (yes, me...running...okay, walking and jogging now, but building up nonetheless)
  • I've reconnected with some long lost friends and met some new ones as well
  • My job at The Mathworks is still going well and I'm finally working on some C++ programming which has been very good experience for me
With the warmer weather recently, I've rediscovered my motivation to get back into working out. I'm lifting, running, and getting on the bike as well (both in the gym and out on the trails). I guess it also coincided with the MS Walk in Boston. I walked with my friend Claire and a group of people she knows...we did the 3 mile loop and it felt really good to just be outside on a beautiful day. So much so, that I decided that I needed to go for a run when I got home that afternoon. Since then, I've been running at least 3 days a week and improving every time out. I'm actually running a 5K next Sunday in Tewksbury with one of my recently reconnected friends, Alina. For the last few years, I've thought about participating in some 5K races, but never really put the time into making it happen. That's all changing now though!

I took my mountain bike out today for the first time this year. I went back to Mine Falls Park in Nashua and rode around the paths for about an hour and a half or so. I snapped some pictures with my iPhone (because I'm a geek) which are posted at Facebook now (edited from original post!) =) It was a great day for a ride, and I got a good workout to boot. All in all, a pretty successful outing!

That's about all for this time. I wanted to get back up here and get something posted...with any luck I'll be making this part of a regular routine as well.

Oh, and before I close...I want to wish JRod's beloved Abby much luck and success in the Boston Marathon this Monday! Kick ass Abby! =)

Harvey, out!
